Financial Neutral Interview With Mike Bonacorsi

Mike Bonacorsi

Mike Bonacorsi, CFP has a wealth of knowledge in the field of finances. As a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, his knowledge and experience have benefitted him in all aspects of his career. I was especially interested in being able to talk to him about his experience with collaborative law.

Mike told me he passed testing in 2013 and has over 20 years under his belt working in the financial services industry. Alongside his own business, Bonacorsi Wealth Management, Mike has spent a notable amount of time working with local groups. He was a past chair of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Financial Planning Association of Northern New England and served as a past board member and currently active member of the New Hampshire Collaborative Law Alliance.

In talking about his experience with collaborative law, Mike told me it’s crucial to work together as a collaborative team for the benefit of the clients.  With a financial neutral, divorce coach, and two attorneys present in a collaborative divorce, all professionals work together to facilitate agreements. As the financial neutral, Mike is glad to be an integral team member who helps clients understand the complexity of finances and financial well-being post-divorce. He said that even though neither person is ever happy in dealing with a financial challenge, his job is to find the solution that can best benefit each person in a fair and equal way.
